*10 Spiritual lessons from Mumbai Locals*

While travelling in Mumbai local trains we have got many experiences, some bitter, some sweet and so on and so forth, here I have tried to explain the similarities between our spiritual life and local trains, also noted some lessons.
1) *Start early* - as early you start your travel, get less crowd and you can travel peacefully. Similarly as day progresses crowd of thoughts start accumulating in mind, early morning peaceful hours are best time for your spirituality.
2) *Be punctual* - time, tide and local waits for no man, be there at station on time. Be there at temple or at place of your worship and sadhana on time, don't miss anything.
3) *Make friendship* -  make good relations with your daily co-passengers that help in reducing boredom of long travel. In spirituality also make friendship with devotees who can inspire us to continue our spiritual journey.
4) *No excuse for ignorance* - let's say a person with 2nd class train ticket boards a 1st class coach or ladies coach and TC(or police) catches him, will he be forgiven? no, he will have to pay the fine. Similarly we can't break the God's law saying I don't believe in law or I don't know the law, we must need to know them by reading Bhagvad Gita regularly.
5) *Be compassionate* - if you see old person or old lady or lady with small kid offer them seat, be sympathetic, share your care, giving will increase joy. In spiritual society also try to share what you have received from God.
6) *Try to adjust* - journey won't be always comfortable try to adjust and reach the destination. Try to adjust with fellow devotees, after all journey is for temporary period and know that at the end of journey home is awaiting us.
7) *Don't give up* - because the train is crowded don't leave the train till you reach destination, hold on to people. There will be many problems in spiritual life too but hold on to devotee association.
8) *Be cool and humble* - don't pick up fights for small issues, in devotee association also be cool, calm and humble.
9) *Attachment* - sometimes people are so much attach to window seat as if they have got it from home and again going to take that to home. We have got nothing when we took birth and we are not going to take anything when we will die, only our Bhakti will accompany us in next birth.
10) *Be alert* - be careful of pick-pocketer, see what's going on around in coach. Similarly be careful of mind and senses, they can distract us anytime from our service to God.
